This paper presents South Africans' ratings of President Thabo Mbeki’s policies and leadership. It employs data from a January-February 2006 survey of a representative sample of 2,400 South Africans, and shows that President Thabo Mbeki has reached new public opinion highs with eight in ten South Africans approving of his job performance.
