This policy brief on the 2008 elections in Ghana first gives a brief overview of the political context and the history of the country. It then examines the various indicators perceived to constitute a threat to peaceful elections but also touches on the strengths of the Ghanaian system. Finally, it discusses different scenarios and offers recommendations to major stakeholders.
