This report explores the implications of the sustainable security framework for Australasia. The authors of the report argue that the Asian region has always defied definition, lacking clear geographical, political or ethnic boundaries. However, for the purposes of this report, they have taken 'Asia and Australasia' in a broad sense: from India in the west to Japan and some of the South Pacific islands in the east, and China in the north to Australia and New Zealand in the south.
