This note explores the impact of invasive non-native species in the UK, and discusses a planned strategy to improve Britain’s status in the control of such species. It points out that non-native invasive species are a significant threat to biodiversity and their ecological impact are difficult to reverse. They also affect economic interests particularly within agriculture, horticulture and forestry.
