This POSTnote looks at recent e-Democracy initiatives in the UK and discusses the challenges faced in their design and implementation. The paper differentiates between top-down and bottom-up initiatives as well as one-way and two-way processes. It examines debate over the purpose of e-Democracy and where its future lies.
