This POSTnote examines current and future regulation of research into the use of medicine in children as there are so few medicines specifically licensed. It also outlines the necessity of regulation of UK medicines due to EU and US influence in licensing. Further, a number of issues are raised in this paper to improve children's medicines and make them more readily available.
