This paper examines technologies as well as UK government initiatives aimed at reducing CO2 emissions from private vehicles. The paper presents various means to reduce the emission of CO2 by improved versions of vehicle design and fuel and also states that a reduction in vehicle use would lead to a reduction in CO2 emissions.
