The articles in this issue of Perspective on Terrorism focus on 1) the origins and inner workings of ISIS’s intelligence apparatus; 2) the underlying mechanism used to incorporate women into the group’s internal structure; 3) a historical and psychological analysis of terrorist attacks against artworks and antiquities; 4) the growing threat posed by Ansar al-Sharia in Libya; 5) the causes of Islamic radicalization in Italy; and 6) al-Qaeda’s strategic and ideological imperatives. The issue also contains a bibliography on terrorist narratives and other resources.
