This short report gauges how effective information and communications technologies (ICTs) were in facilitating international aid and relief efforts after the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti in January 2010. The text's author contends that while advances in ICTs did aid the Haitian relief effort, they could have been better exploited to enhance disaster response and crisis information management activities.
