What agenda does China have in Syria? This text contends that although Beijing’s interests in the Syrian Civil War have been minimal thus far, it has often joined Russia in vetoing UNSC resolutions that endorse Western military interventions in sovereign states. It appears the only way the PRC might become an active belligerent in Syria is if Uyghur fighters brought the war back home to Western China.
