This text explores Israel’s national agenda in Syria. It concludes that despite its avowed policy of neutrality, over the last couple of years Tel Aviv has 1) stepped up its targeting of Iranian and Hezbollah assets, and 2) provided quiet assistance to selected Syrian rebel groups.
