Studying with a disability

ETH Zurich aims to remove barriers and enable students with disabilities or chronic illnesses to study on an equal footing with others and with a high degree of autonomy.

At the Counselling & Coaching Centre we provide you with advice and information regarding issues such as specific disability concerns, special arrangements in degree programmes and examinations, the use of aids necessitated by disabilities, and further measures required for inclusion.

Our services

Our services are aimed at prospective students, Bachelor's students, or Master's students with an established disability according to the definition of the Disability Discrimination Act:

According to the definition of the Disability Discrimination Act, “a person with a disability is a person who, due to a physical, mental or psychological impairment which is likely to be permanent, finds it difficult or is unable to carry out everyday tasks, cultivate social contacts, move around, obtain an education or training, or work” (DDA, Art. 2(1)).
