CRM (Dynamics 365) as a service

CRM (Customer Relationship Management - Dynamics 365) is a software system that allows you to manage your customer relationships. Contact data, contact persons, tasks, telephone notes, correspondence, meeting notes, complaints, orders, contracts, appointments, projects and much more can be stored and managed centrally. You can individually customise the CRM system to cover additional needs.

ETH IT Services advise and assist you with the implementation of "your" CRM system. You will receive a CRM system adapted to your needs and circumstances that will provide you with the best possible support for your daily work.

Depending on your data protection requirements, (links in Instructions / FAQ / How To), the CRM system can be operated either in a public cloud or at ETH.

Central data management

Your customer data is managed centrally in a secure system and can be processed simultaneously by all employees. This means that all employees have access to the same amount of information on customers at all times.

Individual input masks

Adapt input masks to your needs or to the data to be processed. IT Services will be happy to carry out all these adjustments for you.

Easy data retrieval

Quickly find the data you need through personalised or task-specific views in the CRM system. IT Services will be happy to create task-specific screens and forms for you.

Simple expansion

New data fields can be entered quickly and easily in the CRM system and integrated into the screens and forms. IT Services will be happy to carry out all these adjustments for you.

Track emails

By using an additional client on your Windows PC, important emails from Outlook can be linked directly into the CRM system making them accessible to everyone (not just the email recipient).

CRM (Dynamics 365) as a Service is available to all organisational units, departments, professors and research institutes of ETH Zurich.

Customizing the CRM system

In an initial free kick-off meeting, your needs and tasks will be determined. Based on these core values, IT services prepare an offer with the proposed procedure and possible costs. Depending on the size and complexity of the requirements, the customisation of the CRM system will be carried out either as a project with an associated project order, or in the form of individual work sessions, in accordance with the offer.

Operation of the CRM system in a public cloud

Costs may be incurred when operating the CRM system in the cloud. This is also dealt with during the free kick-off meeting and is included in the offer of IT Services

Operation of the CRM system on-prem

Operation of the CRM system at ETH is free of charge. However, a suitable licence must be purchased for each user accessing the system. If the environment is operated by IT Services, a corresponding Service Level Agreement (SLA) is drawn up during customisation. This is dealt with during the free kick-off meeting and is included in the offer of IT Services.
