Software consulting
ETH related units can request a software related consulting service from the IT Services department. The consultancy service comprises of a large range of software projects throughout the life cycle of software applications.
The IT Services department analyses the specifications for the desired software solution, produces an accompanying software evaluation or review of the software architecture, cost estimates, code, integration concepts and a safety check.
Successful completion of software projects to support processes in the areas of teaching and administration requires knowledge and experience in the IT sector and an understanding of the ETH environment.
Software projects can be risky for the organisational unit (the customer) as the complexity, cost and time required are often dramatically underestimated. The IT Services group offers a fully comprehensive and professional advice service which reduces risk and allows necessary corrective measures to be implemented.
