It is open to persons who have not yet completed their studies and includes a standard internship salary (CHF 2,600/month). It is full-time employment and it is not possible to combine "Experience@ETH" employment with a student status. The standard duration is 6 to 12 months.
Project mobility student
Another emergency measure is to be part of a research group at ETH Zurich as a project mobility student. As soon as you have found a professor to whose group you are invited, you can enrol as a project mobility student. All details about this programme can be found Download in this factsheet (PDF, 91 KB).
Researchers
Persons with protection status "S" will be given the opportunity to engage in gainful employment subject to a work permit without a waiting period. ETH Zurich can apply for a work permit for persons with protection status "S" and issue an employment contract.
In order to obtain protection status "S", a person must enter Switzerland and register with a federal asylum centre. The protection status can be granted following examination of the person's case, which takes 2-3 weeks. However, employment process can be started in parallel if there is a positive decision on the temporary grant of protection (official term in German: "Positiver Entscheid über die vorübergehende Schutzgewährung").
Researchers from Ukraine should contact the research groups directly for enquiries about possible employment.
