A few months ago, ETH introduced a new classification system to mark the confidentiality of information. Now, corresponding Office templates are available to the entire ETH community.

A new classification system for data confidentiality will come into effect at ETH as of December 2021. Read on to find out what’s changing and how you can use the classification system to protect your data in a better, more targeted manner.

New rules governing the use of external cloud services at ETH went into effect on 1 August 2021. Additionally, a new classification level for data confidentiality has been introduced to distinguish between confidential and strictly confidential information.

In order to improve the IT-security measures at ETH, plans are underway to implement new services for helping to detect risks in IT-systems. This helps to protect IT-systems and data from abuse.
