ETH Week - Come Together. Shape the Future.

The ETH Week is a new and innovative course designed to foster critical and independent thinking and creative learning. Students from all departments as well as professors and external experts will work together for one week in interdisciplinary teams. They will develop ideas and interventions that could play a role in solving some of our most pressing global challenges.

Today more than half of the world population lives in cities, and the trend is increasing. How can all of these people be fed, now and in the future? Students will address this and other urgent issues during the ETH Week. (Photo: Vincent Callebaut)

Food: Healthy. Fair. Enough for All.

The purpose of the ETH Week is to foster critical thinking skills and to motivate students of all departments for sustainable action through an innovative learning experience.

The topic of the first ETH Week is as complex as it is relevant: the state of the global food supply in the 21st century. Addressing it requires ecological, agricultural, and technical knowledge that is contextualized by an awareness of complex political, economic, and societal systems.
