ETH staff are insured by the federal pension provider Publica through the ETH pension plan. Elections to Publica’s Assembly of Delegates for the four-year term 2017 to 2020 will take place on 27 November 2016. This year, the election will be carried out entirely via e-voting for the first time.

Delegate responsibilities

ETH staff who are interested in this position are invited to run for election. One of the delegates’ key tasks is to elect representatives to the Board of Directors. They are also members of the external pageAssembly of Delegates, which is made up of 80 employees (16 from the constituency for which ETH Zurich is responsible) and can propose motions to the Board of Directors on all matters relating to Publica.

The external pageBoard of Directors has 16 members (eight representatives of the employees insured by Publica, and eight representatives of the employers) and is Publica’s highest governing body. It is responsible for the management, oversight and monitoring of Publica’s business administration.
