The latest Globi book, “Globi and the Crazy Machine”, brings the much-loved Swiss comic book hero to ETH Zurich. The man behind the project, Roland Baumann, explains how the project came about in the latest edition of “life”. The new issue also highlights various other options offered by ETH to give families with children an insight into university life.

Also included is an interview with ETH Professor Renato Paro, who has been formative in the development of the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE), which celebrates its ten-year anniversary this year. In the interview, Paro explains what makes the only ETH department located in Basel special and what the future has in store for it.

In addition, Lukas Vonesch, Director of Human Resources, tells us about the new mandatory time logging system and its advantages, residents and shop owners show us how new buildings are transforming the Hönggerberg into an urban campus, and ETH student Jérôme Kaeslin describes his work as a mentor for refugees on the discovery semester.
