Scammers are experts at disguising their intentions, which is why they frequently present themselves as well-known and trustworthy companies who you may just be a customer of.

The email also looks deceptively real: it has the right logo, there are no writing mistakes, and it possibly asks you to visit a certain website and to log in there. Maybe under a pretence - namely, so that they can hack into your account.

You click on the link and the website you are led to looks just like the website of the renowned company. You log in and, in that very moment,
you have revealed your data. You have been successfully lured without ever noticing it.
