Access the entire catalogue of scientific materials in Switzerland with swisscovery

swisscovery is replacing the ETH Library Search Portal and NEBIS recherche.

What is swisscovery?

swisscovery lists more than 30 million books, series, journals and non-book materials as well as more than 3 billion electronic articles. Ordering media from libraries which were previously outside the NEBIS network will become easier for you as of 7 December 2020.

swisscovery is operated by the Swiss Library Service Platform, or SLSP. SLSP was founded by 15 universities. Today, a total of 475 libraries across Switzerland have joined.

Registration

Starting on 7 December 2020, as an ETH Library user, you will now have access to the entire catalogue of scientific materials in Switzerland via a single research portal called swisscovery. swisscovery will be replacing the previous research portals.

You will need to register again in order to continue using ETH Library services: www.library.ethz.ch/swisscovery-en

Further information for the coming weeks

Before the switch to swisscovery is complete, there will be a brief period of restrictions in terms of library usage. Please note that an order and reservation freeze for media from other libraries will go into effect on the evening of Sunday, 15 November 2020. You can continue to place other orders and loans using the ETH Library Search Portal and NEBIS recherche until 2 December 2020.
