Has the culture of discussion at ETH improved?

Good teamwork across disciplines and functional levels is a basic requirement for successful projects. That is true for ETH, too. For teams to work well, a respectful discussion culture is a prerequisite.

Addressing leadership issues and improving our discussion culture was an important goal of the rETHink project. But has this already been reflected in our everyday work? How do you experience the discussions within ETH? Are they characterised by respect? Do people value the responsibilities and know-how of the other party? Has the culture of discussion changed in recent years?

The next "life" magazine, which will be published on 21 April, will be a special issue marking the end of rETHink. We are looking for people for our For & Against column who either say: "Yes, the culture of discussion at ETH has noticeably improved" or people who think "No, I don't feel any change". Care to share your views with the ETH community and thus enter into the discussion about the culture of discussion? Send a list of your strongest arguments to by 24 January. We can help you put your piece together for publication.

We look forward to your arguments!
