Continuing education in Cyber Security: For digital security
The importance of cyber security is growing. According to the external page Swiss Confederation, cyberattacks on Swiss companies increased by 61 per cent in 2023 alone. The more businesses digitalize, the more potential targets cybercriminals find. The need for well-trained cyber security specialists is correspondingly high.
With this in mind, ETH Zurich has launched a new part-time MAS continuing education programme. The "Master of Advanced Studies ETH in Cyber Security" (Link) provides directly applicable theoretical and practical knowledge about cyber and information security in order to protect computer systems, networks and data from attacks by hackers, viruses or malicious programmes.
Consequently, the ETH Zurich Executive Board approved the regulations for the "MAS ETH Cyber Security" in November 2024 and brought them into force on 1 January 2025.
