We will allocate 20 places to the applicants with the most convincing letters of motivation.

Whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Instagram, social media enables researchers to share their work directly with a wider public. This workshop, will cover the following topics and exercises:

  • What is the function of social media for researchers?
  • Different roles on social media
  • Guest input from a researcher at ETH Zurich
  • How to create a social media concept
  • Group exercise: participants create a concept themselves
  • Storytelling in social media incl. best case examples
  • Exercise: participants create posts about their own research project
  • Technological trends and tools

Through a mix of inputs and practical exercises, participants learn how to present their research in the most targeted and effective way in social media.

  • How would you use the skills learned in the course?
