Irchel

Located on the Irchel campus are the institutes of the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences (D-CHAB) and an institute run jointly with the University of Zurich.

With the external pageSport Center Irchel, the Academic Sports Association of Zurich (ASVZ) offers an impressive range of sports facilities on campus.

Getting there

From Zurich Main Station

Tram no. 10: In 13 minutes by tram no. 10 (towards Zurich Airport or Oerlikon railway station) from Zurich Main Station (“Bahnhofplatz”) to “Irchel”.
Tram no. 14: In 12 minutes by tram no. 14 (towards Seebach) from Zurich Main Station (“Bahnhofplatz”) to “Milchbuck” (via “Schaffhauserplatz”).

From both stops it is a 5-minute walk through Irchelpark to the research and teaching buildings.

You will require a ticket that is valid for zone 110 (city of Zurich).

From Central towards Schaffhauserplatz until Milchbuck.
From Milchbuck, follow signposts to University of Zurich-Irchel.
Motorway towards Basel and Winterthur/Schaffhausen: exit at Zurich City – Schwamendingen – follow signs to Irchel.

Bicycles may only be parked at the designated bicycle parking areas.
There are bicycle parking spaces outside buildings 13, 21, 23, 25, 55 and the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
