ISE Integrated Systems Engineering AG

ISE was active in the development, modelling and optimization of microelectronic processes and systems. It was a leader in TCAD software products and services. Synopsys acquired ISE in 2004 for 95 MUSD with the goal of improving its design-for-manufacturing capabilities. Synopsys Switzerland LLC was created as a new legal entity based on the old ISE team after the acquisition and its operations remained in Zürich as of 2017.
