Kapanu develops solutions for the future of digital dentistry. The spin-off created a “virtual mirror” that enables patients to see the outcome of dental treatment in advance, using augmented reality. Ivoclar Vivadent acquired Kapanu in June 2017 for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition was carried out with the intention to develop innovative dental applications together, in particular in the area of augmented reality. Kapanu kept operating as a separate company after the acquisition and as of 2017 still remained in Zurich.
