Wound healing and skin transplants

Anavo wound healing and skin transplantation

Poorly healing wounds are a massive burden for patients, health care systems, and the economy. An aging society and the rise of diabetes further aggravate the issue of non-healing wounds.

We have developed an approach that radically differs from existing solutions by engineering the wound healing capabilities of inorganic hybrid materials. Working with inexpensive materials that can be produced at scale, our approach differs completely from current solutions that are based on complex biological products or processes. Our prototypes do not only stick strongly to tissues and stop bleeding but additionally have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and tissue-regenerative properties.

By uniting all these properties, our technology offers a promising route to a comprehensive wound treatment. Our goal is to increase the standard of care for wound patients by providing faster healing and preventing complications.
