Before joining the Career Center in April 2015, Christine Kaiser worked in a wide range of managerial, consultant and sales functions in the Human Resources Industry. Christine started her career in 1993 as a vocational counselor in the first Swiss “Centre de Bilan”, helping long term unemployed individuals re-enter the job market. From there, Christine went on to work at UBS, leading and managing initiatives in the area of talent acquisition, performance and development in Switzerland and Asia. Deciding to change industries, Christine spent the next 14 years in two leading HR services firms, consulting clients on talent development and mobility solutions, as well as managing the business in the functions of Country Manager (shl/CEB) and Director Sales EMEA (Lee Hecht Harrison). Christine holds a Masters in Organisational Psychology, as well as a Masters in Vocational Psychology. She completed her Executive MBA at IMD in 2008.

Thanks to her experience, Christine has an extensive knowledge of the Swiss job market, and understands the talent acquisition and development needs that companies have in today’s competitive environment. She also has a broad expertise of career management and has a passion for coaching students and professionals (alumni, dual career spouses) during their career transitions.  

Drilon Ibraimi has been part of the ETH Career Center team since February 2024. Here, he will be completing his apprenticeship.

At the Career Center, Drilon has the opportunity to get to know the different facets of working life. He can put the theoretical knowledge he acquires at the school into practice and lay a solid foundation for his future.
During his internship with us, Drilon has the opportunity to take part in all administrative tasks and to contribute to the success of the team. Drilon's responsibilities include: customer service, event organization, accounting and communication.

Anja Pauling joined the ETH Career Center in June 2019. After her studies at ETHZ in spatial and traffic management, she worked in that field for a couple of years. The native Basle born then did a second study in business administration and management. Her portfolio includes professional activities in the manufacturing industry, the public sector, non-profit organizations and the ETH Domain (Empa, Eawag).

Amongst other things, Anja has worked as controller/consultant in the HR-Department of the Canton of Zurich, where she wrote her thesis in personnel development. At Kalaidos FH in Zurich she taught approx. 600 students within the school’s continuing education programs and supported / coached them through their ensuing personal career changes.

Anja has very good knowledge of the Swiss job market thanks to her broad work experience. She is a strong networker and knows about not only the needs of job applicants but also the requirements of different industries in terms of personnel issues. She gladly passes on her knowledge and experience to students and doctoral students during our Career Center events or during individual counselling sessions.

Lorena Coletti joined the ETH Career Center team in December 2019. After completing her apprenticeship in the insurance industry, she studied applied occupational, organizational and personnel psychology at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland.

During her bachelor thesis she worked at the Research Institute “Humans in Complex Systems” at the FHNW and then at a start-up in the field of automated candidate search and placement. She then started in the Talent Acquisition field, where she gained experience in direct recruitment and employer branding. Among other things, she accompanied the global introduction of an HR tool and was jointly responsible for the training of the local HR team and the 500 employees of the Swiss subsidiary.

Thanks to her experience in various industries and companies, she has a good knowledge of the Swiss labour market. In her role as Career Advisor and Project Manager, she enjoys passing on her knowledge to students and doctoral candidates in trainings, workshops and individual coaching sessions and advises companies on employer branding activities at ETH Zurich.

Michael Grunder joined the ETH Career Center team in June 2020. Prior to joining the ETH Zurich, he completed his studies in Psychology with a specialization in Developmental and Personality Psychology at the University of Zurich and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

In the course of his academic and professional career to date, he has gained various experiences in the fields of HR as well as Work and Organizational Psychology. Among other things, he conducted research on job insecurity and gained in-depth experience in career counselling. Before joining ETH Zurich, he worked in the HR department of an international consulting company, where he was involved in recruiting and personnel administration.

Thanks to his experience in various industries and companies, he has a good knowledge of the Swiss labor market. In his role as Career Advisor and Project Manager, he enjoys passing on his knowledge to students and doctoral candidates in trainings, workshops and individual coaching sessions and advises companies on employer branding activities at ETH Zurich.

Franziska started working at the ETH Career Center in August 2020, having previously held various HR positions and industries. After studying Business Administration in Germany and volunteering in Northern Ireland, Franziska started working as Program Manager for MBA students in Horgen at Lake Zurich.

With a stint at the Financial Times in Belfast, her development led her to the Talent Development department at Credit Suisse. There Franziska headed the Center of Competence for Coaching and Mentoring and was responsible for the Business Management in the Leadership Development department. In her further career, Franziska worked as HR Business Partner for the University Hospital Zurich and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Between the various HR stations, her love of the British Isles led her back to the UK repeatedly, most recently to Bristol, where Franziska completed her coaching training. In addition to a diploma in Business Administration, Franziska holds an MSc in Communication and MAS in Coaching & Supervision.

Franziska combines her passion for coaching and mentoring people facing career issues with her experience from various industries and corporate cultures. She looks forward to using this knowledge and her broad experience to support graduates in their transition to the professional world outside ETH Zurich.
