ETH Industry eWeek 2020

The ETH Industry eWeek 2020 will give you an insight into research at ETH Zurich and its connection to industry. Here is a selection of projects you can expect to see and a link to register for the event.  

The ETH Industry eWeek 2020 takes place from 21 to 24 September. Each day focuses on a different topic. Following the short presentations, the researchers and young entrepreneurs will answer all your questions. What happens when flu viruses or other pathogens infect a cell? Thanks to a tiny cell balance, researchers from ETH Zurich and their project partner Nanosurf can now monitor this in real time.

Digitalisation (September 22, 2020)

Voice assistants are gaining importance as a human-computer interface in our lives. However, none of today’s assistants speaks or understands the various dialects in Switzerland. The ETH Media Technology Center partnered with SRF (Swiss Radio and Television) to build the first voice assistant that can speak several Swiss German dialects.

Univerre wants to reinvent traditional glass production. The Swiss family-run company joined forces with the Complex Materials Group of ETH Zurich and achieved unbelievable results with 3D printing.

What will our electricity supply look like in the future? In co-operation with partners from industry, researchers at ETH Zurich are developing models to predict the technical and economic impact of all conceivable scenarios.

A virtual exhibition representing selected research teams, ETH centres, recent spin-offs and young entrepreneurs, will complement the talks. There is no charge to join the talks but external pageregistration is required. We look forward to sharing with you our latest research and industry projects virtually.
