Submit request: exemption
Flexibility measures can be applied for in order to facilitate the compatibility of studying and parenthood. This is done by granting an exemption. You can find information on the procedure here.
What are exemptions?
Exemptions in the context of studying as a parent include defined measures aimed at making it possible to combine studying with childcare obligations. These adjustments to study requirements are not adjustments to learning objectives. Learning and examination content remain the same.
Who is entitled to flexibility measures?
In order for students to be able to submit an application for flexibility measures for their studies due to childcare obligations, they must provide the usual official documents as proof of parenthood.
What steps need to be taken into account?
- Please inform yourself in advance about the programme-specific and subject-specific performance requirements of your chosen degree programme as well as about the types of examinations and other proof of academic achievements (internships, laboratory, etc.) that are part of the curriculum.
- Before you submit an application for flexability measures, an initial consultation at the Counselling & Coaching Centre is required. Please make an appointment.
- Complete the application form and submit the request in full.
What deadlines apply?
Depending on the measure (performance assessment, deadline to complete studies), different deadlines apply for submitting the official request. Please refer to the information on the following website.
