SSSTC provides funding to support Stepping Stone Symposia or workshops with the intention to set up or intensify collaboration between Swiss and Chinese research partners. Symposia will have to bring together several institutions from both countries to form a collaboration network and can be supported with grants up to CHF 60'000. Smaller workshops between two individual institutions or research labs will be supported with up to CHF 15'000. Bot instruments are open to all disciplines and the actual events can take place in either Switzerland or China.
