ETH Meets Sustainable Switzerland Forum

12 Sep 2023 - ETH Zurich and EPFL join forces for the thematic session "Tackling the combined energy and climate crisis", an urgent issue that requires immediate action.

The Sustainable Switzerland Forum brings together thought leaders and decision makers - the ideal networking event for an exchange at eye level. Renowned speakers talk about forward-looking solutions for companies and inspire the participants from business and science.

The overlapping climate and energy crises threaten to derail the Swiss energy transition. Existing tools cannot address both crises at once. More wind and solar will reduce emissions, but because their production varies across seasons, they will also bring new energy security challenges. This session will explore new solutions that simultaneously facilitate the rapid integration of more renewables while guaranteeing the security of supply.

The thematic session will take place on 12 September from 15:45 - 16:30 at the Kursaal in Bern. More information and tickets can be found external page here.
