Global Reports: Maps and Tables

The International Knowledge Base (IKB) contains information on ETH Zurich's international contacts, collaboration links and exchange programmes.

The publicly accessible section of the IKB features global reports (maps and tables) presenting an overview of ETH Zurich’s international network.

To focus on the data for one continent, click on the corresponding region on the map. To go back to the global view, click again on the opened continent. The table underneath the map can be opened by toggling the open button to access the data by country.

The following reports are available:

  • Research
Research collaborations, exchange of students and staff, and other contacts of ETH faculty members with institutions worldwide listed by continent and country. The data is collected in the annual reporting of the professorships (Annual Academic Achievements, AAA). The information is updated annually.
  • Agreements
Bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding with partner institutions, listed by continent and country. The data is administered by ETH Global and updated continuously.
  • Alliances
Listing of the institutions that are institutional partners of ETH Zurich through an alliance. The data is administered by ETH Global and is updated continuously.
  • ETH members
Professors, scientific staff and students by nationality and institution of origin (headcount data). The numbers of professors include dual appointments with other institutions. Persons with dual nationality are counted only once. The data on professors and scientific staff is drawn from the Human Resources information system.
