The Pathogen Ecology group studies how microorganisms interact and evolve. Current projects include:
- How personalised is evolution within your microbiome? (with Mathilde Boumasmoud)
- How does MRSA interact with other microbes in the human nasal passage? (with Anaëlle Fait and Laura Brülisauer)
- How do antibiotic resistance genes spread in gastrointestinal microbiomes? (with Ricardo León Sampedro, Manu Tamminen and Adrian Egli)
- How does horizontal gene transfer shape microbial community structure? (with Ayush Pathak)
- What makes a successful plasmid? (with Fabienne Benz)
- Developing visualisations for teaching in evolutionary medicine (with Helena Klein, Julia Chatain, Anouk N'Guyen van Chinh and Anton Bolfing)
