Tips and Tricks: Getting around by bike
After tips for getting where you need to go by bus, tram and train a fortnight ago, here are tips on how to get from A to B at ETH by bike. Even in the cold season of the year.
One thing is for sure: Yes, it became noticeably colder last week. And maybe you feel the same way, preferring to get on your bike in spring-like temperatures. But as always when you are outdoors, the same applies to cycling: There is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.
So if you like to get around by bike but don't have one in Zurich, ETH offers several bike-sharing options:
PubliBike

You can find stations directly at Download ETH Zentrum (PDF, 189 KB) and on Download Hönggerberg campus (PDF, 137 KB). Trips longer than 30 minutes have to be paid for. After this point, your credit card will be automatically charged five cents per minute for use of the city bike and ten cents for use of e-bikes. protected page You can find more information here (password required, information in German)
