Does ETH need a gender quota for leadership roles?

ETH Zurich has been striving to increase the proportion of women in all areas for many years now, but is still far from reaching its goal, especially when it comes to leadership roles. Could a binding gender quota be the solution? Share your opinion in the next edition of life magazine!

For some time now, organisations have been using various measures to increase the proportion of women at the executive level – usually with only moderate success. Even at ETH, only a quarter of leadership roles are held by women.

Could a binding gender quota be the solution? Or could it do more harm than good, and are there more effective options available? Then again, perhaps you also believe there’s actually no need to increase in the proportion of women at management level?

We want to hear your opinions on the introduction of a gender quota for leadership positions for our For & Against column in by 16 May. We can help you put your piece together for publication. One “for” piece and one “against” piece will be published in the next edition of life magazine on 14 July.

We look forward to hearing your arguments!
