The Humanitarian Action Challenges support project-based research between ETH Zurich and EPFL researchers, and the ICRC. Humanitarian Action Challenges must develop, test or evaluate an innovative product, policy or service with the aim to increase the impact of humanitarian action.

Researchers from ETH Zürich and EPFL in collaboration with the ICRC are invited to apply now until 18 January 2023!

More information on the Humanitarian Action Challenges and application requirements can be found here and previously awarded research projects external pagehere.

Connect with the ICRC

Some of the pressing issues of the ICRC can be found in Downloadthis document (PDF, 651 KB). If you have a specific interest, we can help you identify suitable partners at the ICRC.

You are invited to attend a workshop with ICRC experts on the issue of humanitarian protection. Protection is one of the main activities of the ICRC, which includes the protection of detainees and civilians and restoring family links.

Workshop on Protection at the ICRC: 11 November 2022, 13:30 – 17:15, in Geneva or online. If you want to register or have further questions, please reach out to Priya Mohanty ().
