Sebastian is part of the ETH Sustainability team since September 2023. Among others, he accompanies the development of the ETH Net Zero Roadmap and leads the Green Labs pilot. Furthermore, he supports the coordination of the public lecture series The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Context, in cooperation with the ETH4D initiative and the D-GESS department.
He holds a PhD in Sustainability and Technology from ETH Zurich and studied Management and Technology at the external pageTechnical University of Munichcall_made (Germany) and external pageShanghai Jiao Tong Universitycall_made (China) with a focus on logistics, renewable energy and electric mobility.
Before joining ETH, Sebastian worked at external pageMcKinsey & Companycall_made as a management consultant focusing on sustainability and digitalization. There, he founded and led the German Green Teams to improve environmental sustainability in the company. He is also active in the Do-Tank external pageCircularitycall_made, which focuses on promoting and implementing circular economy approaches in companies, and rescues food through external pageFoodsharingcall_made.
