Occupancy display – Data source
Privacy-compliant occupancy measurement
No personal data is collected. Student workspace occupancy is determined based on aggregated network usage data. No personal data is collected. To ensure a reliable estimate, the network data is calibrated against reference values.
Traffic light system
The percentage indicates the estimated proportion of available workspaces that are currently in use. As these figures are estimates, occupancy is displayed in 20% intervals. The traffic light system provides a quick and practical indication of current occupancy levels.
The trend indicator reflects changes of more than 5% of the room's capacity. If occupancy remains unchanged, the trend is displayed as "stable".
Occupancy display updates
The occupancy information and trend indicator are updated every 5 minutes.
Planned service expansion
Due to location, infrastructure, and other factors, it is currently not possible to measure the occupancy of all learning environments.
For the sake of completeness, learning environments for which no occupancy data is available are still listed on the website, but without an occupancy display.
Our goal is to provide transparent occupancy information for all learning environments in the future. To achieve this, we continuously evaluate suitable methods and measurement technologies and gradually expand the service.
