Contents of the form “Programme”
The Master's programme can only be started in the autumn semester.
Exceptions apply for consecutive ETH students (see the following point: Consecutive Master's programme (ESOP request).
Please make sure that you have logged in on the eApply homepage with your “Internal login”, i.e. with your ETH login, to create the ESOP request. Do not use your former Bachelor application account for the ESOP request.
When creating the ESOP request for your consecutive Master's programme, you can choose between the autumn semester and the spring semester under “Start semester”.
This only applies to ETH Bachelor's students who wish to submit an ESOP request for their consecutive Master's programme (i.e. one that builds on their Bachelor's programme). All other applicants do not have the option of selecting the spring semester.
Depending on the degree programme you have chosen, information on these areas may be required. If you change the degree programme during an ongoing application, you must change these entries accordingly.
If you have problems moving the order of the tutors: Please contact support (in eApply via “Contact”).
The documents required for your application depend on your Bachelor’s degree. This entry refers to the Bachelor’s degree or equivalent first degree from an internationally recognised university which qualifies you to apply for Master’s studies.
- Non-Swiss University
- ETH Zurich
- EPF Lausanne
- Swiss university
- Swiss University of Applied Sciences ("Fachhochschule")
The choice of category determines certain components in the form (e.g. required documents or application fee).
Applicants with an Austrian or German bachelor's degree from a university of applied sciences select “Non-Swiss university”.
If you have selected the wrong category this could lead to a discrepancy and rejection of your application.
Not all Master’s degree programmes offer a direct doctorate programme. For this reason, only the direct doctorate programmes in Chemistry, Chemical and Bioengineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and Physics are shown.
More information can be found on the help pages about the direct doctorate programme.
