Haller elected SIAM Fellow

George Haller, Professor of Nonlinear Dynamics at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, has been elected Fellow of the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) by the SIAM Fellows Selection Committee.

Less than 0.3 percent of the more than 14 500 members of SIAM worldwide, including all areas of applied and computational mathematics, receive this distinction. Haller was nominated for his contributions to applied dynamical systems, including the theory of Lagrangian coherent structures.
