Gisbert Schneider got the Prous Institute-Overton and Meyer Award
The "Prous Institute-Overton and Meyer Award for New Technologies in Drug Discovery" aims to encourage innovation and investigation in technologies related to drug discovery. This year, the Award goes to Gisbert Schneider, Professor at IPW, for his pioneering work integrating machine learning into medicinal chemistry, drug discovery and chemical biology.
2020 Eppendorf Award for Young Investigators goes to Randall Platt
Randall Platt, head of the Biological Engineering Lab, receives the 25th Eppendorf Award for Young European Investigators for his pioneering work developing a method to record timelines of gene expression events using a CRISPR-Cas system. Randall’s work focuses on living diagnostics - engineered bacteria that act as biographers of their environment by continuously recording gene expression information.
Former doctoral student Robin Moser receives prestigious Gödel Prize
