An ETH spin-off company is established and run by ETH members or graduates and is based on ETH Zurich research results.

ETH transfer supports the ETH community in all questions relating to cooperation with industry, inventions, patent applications and licensing, as well as setting up an ETH spin-off company.
During the first two years, ETH spin-offs may lease premises from ETH Zurich for shared use where capacities are available. In addition to ETH’s own premises, premises and laboratories in Technopark Zurich can also be leased at attractive terms. Please contact the ETH Real Estate department for more details.
Some additional IT services can also be made use of. An application form for communications services will be sent to you by ETH transfer along with the lease agreement.
Amongst other things, the spin-off contract covers the use of equipment and other infrastructure (such as internet, telephone, email etc.). The contract will be adapted to the spin-off's individual needs.
