Four new faces for the Personnel Commission (PeKo): Madalina Jaggi (D-ERDW), Sabine Hoffmann (ID), Christian Mimjähner (Campus Services) and Daniel Firsching (FC) are the new members of the PeKo. They were elected in May. All four newly elected members have known ETH and its culture for years and complete the know-how of the PeKo with their competences. The new members will take office in June. They are elected for the new term of office from 2022-2026.
Also re-elected for this term of office - unanimously - was Christoph Sauder Engeler as PeKo President.
Farewell to André Blanchard
At the May 19 meeting, PeKo bid farewell to its former long-time president and subsequent member André Blanchard and named him an honorary member. The merits of André Blanchard for the PeKo cannot be appreciated highly enough, as he has been committed to the employees in all matters over the many years, has cultivated the exchange with the Executive Board and has held up the ETH spirit.
Resignation of two PeKo members
Lucia Keller, who has retired and is now observing the work of the PeKo from a distance, and Roman Racine, who wants to devote more time to his family, have also announced their resignation. Both former members were very committed to PeKo and the employees at ETH Zurich during their active time. PeKo thanks them and wishes them all the best for the future.
This is the PeKo
The Personnel Commission acts as a contact point for the technical and administrative ETH staff and represents their concerns to the Executive Board. The diverse work of the commission includes participation in the University Assembly, the Strategy Commission, the Catering Commission, in consultations and in proposals to the Executive Board.
PeKo achieves its influence through dialogue and collaboration. It is a great pleasure that highly qualified and committed candidates have again applied for this election period
