Be reachable even when you’re not there – with the ETH phone service

To use the service, simply activate call forwarding to the number 111 before you leave – either directly from your phone or online via the Phone Control Centre. Once the switchboard staff have been informed of your absence, they will take care of the rest. Immediately after receiving a call, you’ll get an e-mail containing the information that has been noted down, as well as the details of the person who called. You’ll therefore have a comprehensive overview of call details when you return, and you’ll be able to respond directly to your callers.

Extended absences

If you’re going to be absent for a longer period, the switchboard staff can also act as your personal phone secretary and reliably represent you to your callers. To use this service, you’ll need to provide our phone operators with some basic information in advance. You can do this by simply entering the details online using this application form.

Call management

The telephone service staff are there when you are not - on weekdays from 7.30 am to 5 pm. In addition, you can obtain contact information for ETH employees or university and international research institutions. The telephone service for ETH members is a free service offered by Campus Services. Learn more about the "Voice of ETH" on the website of the telephone switchboard website.
