The ETH Industry Day on 21 November 2024 is a unique opportunity to gain insight into ETH research and its application in the industry. This year, it will take on a new dimension as part of Open-i at the Zurich Convention Center. The first highlights are confirmed, and registration for the event is now open.

Over 700 visitors showed great enthusiasm for this year's Industry Day program, which included inspiring lectures, an extensive exhibition, and immersive networking opportunities. The event effectively fostered interactions among companies, researchers, and young entrepreneurs. The video captures the essence of this special event.

Prof. Máté Bezdek and his team are experts in chemical sensing. They aim to develop sensors for agriculture that enable accurate fertilizing of fields, avoiding over-fertilization and thus help mitigate the emissions caused by agriculture.

More effective, reusable and self-​repairing: a new kind of corrosion protection developed by the ETH researchers Marco D'Elia, Walter Caseri and Markus Niederberger has been honoured with the Spark Award 2023. The collaboration project with the University of Milan has excellent market potential and could significantly slow down the deterioration of buildings and vehicles.

On Pi Day, March 14^th (3/14 - representing the first three digits of Pi), the ETH ieLab (Innovation & Entrepreneurship Lab) held its fourth annual 3Pi competition. Ten ETH start-ups presented their Pioneer Pi Pitches (in 3.14 minutes per pitch, of course!) to over 100 attendees.
