Agile Doctoral Research Projects

Important: We recommend to attend the course in the first third of the doctorate project!

This workshop targets researchers at ETH Zurich

Participants should be working on an approved project or have submitted a research plan. No prior knowledge of project management or agile frameworks is assumed. The workshop can be attended at any stage of the doctoral work, to the greatest advantage during the first half of the doctoral project.

For classical project management methods and how to apply them in a research context, the workshop “project management for research – for doctoral students” can be attended in addition to this workshop.  

The workshop will feature brief theoretical inputs, exercises, simulations of Scrum and Kanban, tasks carried out in small groups, sharing experiences, and individual transfer work (designing, practicing and reviewing agile approaches in participants’ projects).

The number of participants is limited. Registrations will be accepted in the order in which they are received. Once registered, participants may no longer withdraw from the workshop and are obliged to attend the entire course.
