Multi-Generational Teams
More than half of ETH Zurich’s staff is between 21 and 35 years old. The number of employees over 50 is lower. A mix of different ages among members of a team increases the potential for its creativity and innovation and supports the sustainability of its work. ETH Zurich supports a mix of people from different age groups and values the input from all age cohorts and the transfer of knowledge between generations.
Mehr als die Hälfte aller Angestellten der ETH Zürich ist 21 bis 35 Jahre alt. Der Anteil der Angestellten, die älter als 50 Jahre sind ist klein. Eine gute Altersdurchmischung von Teams ist für die Kreativität und Innovationskraft, aber auch für die Nachhaltigkeit der Arbeit wichtig. Die ETH Zürich unterstützt eine solche Altersdurchmischung und ist vom Wert der Inputs von Menschen aus allen Alterskohorten und des Wissenstransfers zwischen den Generationen überzeugt.
For Children and School Kids
Encouraging children, and girls especially, to persue an interest in STEM subjects begins at a young age. ETH Zurich offers a number of opportunities and programs for children. These includes holiday activities for children, as well as classroom-oriented projects.

Retirement
The normal retirement age in Switzerland is 65 for men and 64 for women. Early retirment may also be possible, and more information can be found on the Leaving ETH Zurich page, as well other helpful information regarding retirement.

The Retirees’ Association of ETH Zurich (German) (Vereinigung der Pensionierten der ETH Zürich ) welcomes new members, and you can also join after your retirement.
