Course planning
- Courses in the Faculty of Business Administration are very popular and it is possible that certain courses you wish to attend are fully booked. For this reason it is important to be flexible and willing to enrol for other courses if necessary. MBA courses are not open to exchange students. Refer queries regarding courses directly to the partner university.
- A list of courses which are not open to exchange students can be found external page here. Note that especially the courses in the Food and Nutritional Sciences programme are not open to exchange students.
Course planning
You must have your Bachelor's degree by the time the exchange begins in order to attend Master's degree courses at the School of Engineering and to enrol at Master's level.
To enroll in postgraduate (Master's level courses), you have to get the written permission of the lecturer. So far this was possible in most cases but flexibility is essential in planning your courses. There is no guarantee that you will be able to attend your desired courses. We strongly recommend that you find out about alternative courses early.
Application
When you apply in Mobility-Online, you must specify under "Faculty / Discipline" whether you are applying for the School of Engineering or the School of Science at the HKUST when selecting the desired host university.
